Arkan Haile Selected as “40under40” by the EnVest Foundation

Gray Haile LLP is pleased to announce that Arkan Haile, a founding partner of the firm, has been selected as one of the EnVest Foundation’s “40under40” honorees for 2010.  The annual award recognizes individuals for “outstanding service in their community and profession”.  The EnVest Foundation is a philanthropic fund that provides financial and other support to individuals and non-profit organizations dedicated to improving the quality of education for all children. 

Mr. Haile was recognized for, among other things, teaching law at the University of Asmara Faculty of Law in Eritrea (Africa); pro bono legal services; co-founding the Organization of African Entrepreneurs and Professionals (OAEP), a 300 plus member organization that brings together Africans and others interested in investing in the continent; and membership in the Economic Development and Zoning Committee of DC Advisory Neighborhood Commission for Ward 6A, which represents the community’s economic and zoning interests.

In his professional capacity, Mr. Haile counsels clients ranging from investors and entrepreneurs to established private and public companies in various transactional, business and governance matters.  He also represents clients involved in disputes, specifically, by providing strategic advice and results-oriented advocacy.
