Leander Gray Speaks at the 2009 National Bar Association Corporate Counsel Conference

Leander Gray was a speaker at the 2009 National Bar Association Corporate Counsel Conference. Mr. Gray addressed how the global financial crisis has reshaped the U.S. government’s role in the economy with specific focus on various aspects of the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008.

Arkan Haile Co-Founds the Organization of African Entrepreneurs and Professionals

In early 2008, Arkan Haile co-founded the Organization of African Entrepreneurs and Professionals (OAEP). It is an association comprised of over 200 members who come from various backgrounds, interests and professions, including bankers, lawyers, international development experts, policy makers and business people, all of whom have a particular or general interest in investing and/or promoting sustainable economic development in Africa. OAEP regularly hosts, at Gray Haile’s offices, a panel or presentation of experts in their field followed by a discussion and a networking session. Past topics include “Private Equity in Africa”, “Risks/Rewards of Investing in Africa” and “African Brain Drain/Gain”.

 

Leander Gray Elected to GW Cancer Institute’s Advisory Board

Leander Gray was elected to the George Washington University Medical Center’s Cancer Institute Advisory Board. The GWCI provides for collaboration in the study, diagnosis and treatment of cancer. Its mission is to provide a confluence of groundbreaking biomedical and clinical research, high quality educational programs, outstanding patient care to the entire Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, and effective outreach for that community.
